The Bey Hive is setting Twitter on Fire with reactions to Beyoncé’s Lion King Inspired Album, “The Gift.”
Queen Bey dropped her latest project at midnight, and it took no time for fans to start using Bey’s most quotable moments as their IG captions.
On the track, “Mood 4 Eva” which features JAY-Z and Childish Gambino, Beyoncé snatches everyone’s mane by checking her critics, by basically calling them all broke.
“I’m so unbothered/ Ya’ll be so pressed while I’m raising daughters/Sons of empires/ Y’all make me chuckle/stay in your struggle/ Crystal Bluewater/ Pina Colada in/You stay Ramada Inn/ My Baby Father Bloodline Rwanda/ Why would you try me/Why would you bother/I am Beyoncé… Giselle Knowles Carter.”
On “Brown Skin Girl,” which features Blue Ivy Carter, SAINt JHN and Wizkid, Beyoncé serves us the perfect self-love anthem for the summer. On the track, Beyoncé shares the importance of loving oneself. She pays homage to other beautiful brown skin girls such as Naomi Campbell, Lupita Nyong’o and Kelly Rowland.
“Pose like a trophy when Naomi’s walk-in/She need an Oscar for that pretty dark skin/Pretty like Lupita when the cameras close in/Drip broke the levee when my Kellys roll in/I think tonight she might braid her braids/Melanin too dark to throw her shade/She minds her business and winds her waist/Gold like 24k, okay,” she harmonizes.
Beyoncé’s “Gift”is giving out gems and bars to her fans and her haters all while celebrating everything that is African Culture.
