Real Madrid pessimistic about chances of signing No 1 target Paul Pogba with Manchester United asking for £150m for midfield star
Real Madrid are pessimistic about landing their No 1 target Paul Pogba for manager Zinedine Zidane.
The Spanish club knows that Pogba would like to join them having becoming dissatisfied at Old Trafford by United's season but are aware that the club won't consider selling their star asset for less than £150million - a price Madrid aren't prepared to pay.
Pogba's agent Mino Raiola is skilled in forcing through deals but United are so insistent about digging their heels in that a solution is unlikely this summer.

Real will continue to pursue their interest in Chelsea's Eden Hazard to counter Barcelona's capture of Ajax midfielder Frenkie de Jong who has take his side through to the verge of the Champions League semi-finals.
Meanwhile, United have told Rio Ferdinand that the role they see for him at Old Trafford is not one of 'transfer supremo'.
United are keen to use Ferdinand's popularity, contacts and knowledge of the club in some capacity but are determined to build a structure where they aren't dependent on one individual for transfer recruitment.
The club plan to appoint a technical director this summer who will work on identifying both senior and youth transfer targets and coordinating a common plan among all the club teams at Carrington.
But they will be expected to work closely with the team that Ed Woodward has already built including chief scout Jim Lawlor who was part of Sir Alex Ferguson's backroom staff at United's peak.
