Adele and her US-born CEO husband Simon Konecki had reportedly been 'living separate lives for years' before news of their shock split emerged on Friday.
The Grammy Award-winning singer, who met the charity boss in 2011 and married him in secret in 2016, confirmed their three-year marriage had come to an end - but vowed to raise their six-year-old son Angelo together 'lovingly'.
The notoriously private couple had seemingly been in a loving relationship for eight years, with Adele, 30, using her Grammy speeches to gush over the 45-year-old.
But now it has been reported the pair had been 'living separate lives for years' and 'accepted that something just isn’t going to work'.
The star leapt up to kiss her partner excitedly at the Grammys in 2017 in Los Angeles after using her speech to say he was the 'only reason she does it'
