Ne-Yo and Crystal Smith Split After More Than 3 Years of Marriage; Smith Says “Everything Else Is God’s Will”
Seems like R&B soul star Ne-Yo’s on-again, off-again marriage is officially coming to an end, for good.
A close source to The Jasmine Brand said, “Crystal left him. She’s had enough.”, adding the couple’s marriage has been in trouble for “quite some time” and that Crystal allegedly plans on filing for divorce this month.
The recent split comes abruptly, seeing as though the couple appeared to be getting along, just back in December 2019, at least on Instagram. On New Year’s Eve, the celebrity posted a photo of him and his other half kissing at dinner. He captioned, “Headed into the new year with a RIDER. 2019 had its bumps and bruises, yea sure. But it’s not about the difficulty; it’s about one’s ability to realize when something is worth fighting for and one’s willingness to push thru to the potential greatness of a situation. There’s no such thing as perfect, a lesson we both have had to learn and lock-in. But perfect for each other is a real thing. And that’s you and me… Big plans for 2020, baby! But regardless of what happens, 2020 will be absolutely AMAZING so long as you’re by my side. I love you @itscrystalsmith #FlyMarriedShit.”
However, just two days after the news of the split, Crystal posted an encrypted post, saying, “I hope you never settle. I hope you hold to your standards in your dreams, relationships, respect. You deserve what you want and what you’ve been working towards.”
This is Ne-Yo’s second marriage. The pair have been married nearly 4 years and share two young children.
In response to the rumors, Smith told Baller Alert that ”the accuracy is that he’s an amazing father and our kids are blessed to have a father like him. I wouldn’t take that back for anything in this world. Everything else is God’s will.”
