Kim Kardashian and husband Kanye West are no strangers to doing good deeds for others. The couple’s latest act of goodwill involves the new film “Just Mercy”—and fans are in for a treat if they want to see it because Kim and Kanye are footing the bill.
Celebrities get many perks—and one of those includes advanced screening to movies. Kim Kardashian and Kanye West were among the first to see the criminal justice film “Just Mercy,” starring Jamie Foxx and Michael B. Jordan. They were so inspired by the film that they want to make sure everyone sees it, so they are buying out movie theaters.
In a post to her Instagram stories, Kim posted the following message about her and Kanye’s plans:
“I was so moved after seeing #JustMercy that Kanye and I want to make sure you have the chance to see it too. So we are joining @werepjustice to buy out theatres across the country to give you a chance to win tickets to a free screening. Sign-up at the replresentjustice.org/kkw and get ready to be blown away by the incredible work of Byran Stevenson and the equal justice Initiative and the amazing performances by Michael B Jordon, Jamie Foxx and Brie Larson.”
“Just Mercy” is based on a true story and follows lawyer Bryan Stevenson who heads to Alabama to defend a black man, Walter McMillian, wrongfully convicted of murder. It’s currently playing everywhere at theaters nationwide.
